WESTVET IDAHO

Emergency Service Clinician

We are currently seeking a full-time Emergency Service Clinician to join our progressive, professional, client-oriented team. WestVet is the only small animal emergency and specialty hospital in Idaho.  We have recently moved into our brand new 32,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility and our fast paced emergency service is rapidly expanding.

Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician

Compassionate critical thinkers wanted!  We are looking for an experienced, skilled veterinary technician for our growing ophthalmology service.  If you thrive in a fast paced work environment where you can utilize your multi-tasking skills this may be the position for you.  License preferred but will consider equivalent work experience.  Responsibilities include:

-Assisting in patient procedures: preparation of patients, instruments, equipment and medications
-Managing appointments: obtain histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc.
-Plan, organize, and manage the daily flow of services
-Drive the WestVet Experience and ensure our patients receive the highest quality care

Client Service Technician-Emergency Service

Client Service Technicians (CSTs) triage incoming patients and maintain communication between the client and doctor, providing the highest level of customer service. This position requires a very organized, dependable individual. The CST must be able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a caring and pleasant demeanor, ensuring each client has a positive experience. Major duties include triaging incoming patients, obtaining vitals and patient history, explaining detailed treatment plans and home-care instructions, and providing exam room assistance. Nights and weekends may be required.

Client Service Representative

We are looking for qualified, experienced applicants for our front desk and phone center. CCS team members provide great customer service in person and over the phone to our clients. This position requires great communication skills and the ability to multi-task. Customer service experience required, veterinary experienced preferred but not required.

Surgery Veterinary Technician & Assistants

Our fast paced surgery department is looking for a few additional team members.  We are looking for pro-active critical thinkers with experience in veterinary medicine and/or anesthesia.  Come work and learn along side our great team of board certified surgeons and veterinary technicians. Qualifications include:

State of Idaho Veterinary Technician license preferred but not required, will consider relevant experience
Prior veterinary experience required
Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

WestVet has expanded our services to northern Utah.  We are currently hiring for the following positions for our Sunset, Utah location.

Internist

WestVet Utah is currently seeking a full time board certified internist to join our growing hospital.  We are looking for a team oriented individual that possesses excellent communication skills to partner with our clients, colleagues, and referral community. Candidates will work alongside existing surgery and emergency practices.

ER Veterinary Technician

We are seeking an experienced veterinary technician for our emergency service.  Bring your skill set to our fast paced ER and enjoy working and learning alongside a great veterinary healthcare team.

Hospital Director

We are currently seeking a Hospital Director for our Sunset, Utah practice.  The Hospital Director provides leadership to the hospital in partnership with the Medical Director.  The HD leads the clinical services team (non-doctor team members) and promotes WestVet’s core values of Teamwork, Leadership, and Compassion.  Previous management experience is required.  5+ years of experience in human healthcare or veterinary leadership is preferred.  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education is preferred.
